University Targu Mures Medical Campus Hamburg (UMFST-UMCH) is the German branch of the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Targu Mures (UMFST). Every year, about 200 students are given the opportunity to start an English-language medical degree program here, regardless of their high school grades.
In addition to the unique combination of English-language theoretical instruction at the Hamburg campus and German-language clinical-practical study phases in a nationwide network of teaching hospitals, the program is also distinguished by small-group instruction, which allows for particularly personal and individual attention. The state medical university UMFST is located in the Romanian city of Targu Mures in the region of Transylvania and is one of the largest medical universities in the EU with over 11,000 students. Several hundred physicians licensed in Germany have already been trained here.
