As part of its mission to promote excellence in operative neurosurgery, the Dandy Society is developing multiple hands-on training labs to serve respective Continents and Regions of the world. The Society already has an established lab in North America at the WEDNS World Headquarters Office at Saint Louis University. The Society has inaugurated its first Continent-wide laboratory outside the United States with a soon to be completed state-of-the-art facility in Shanghai, China which is designated to serve the Neurosurgeons of Asia.

Saleem I. Abdulrauf, President of the WEDNS, signed a memorandum of agreement with Professor Jiang Jiyao, Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery and Huang Yiran, Vice-President of the Renji Hospital in Shanghai where the lab is currently being built with the expectation of opening in spring of 2013. The society will also be working closely with other leading institutions in China including Tian Tan Hospital in Beijing and Huashan Hospital in Shanghai in developing the society’s educational programs in both China and Asia as a whole.

The WEDNS has began implementing its plans for creating Labs in other continents and will be sending you updates as they come.
